Your occasions (their names, dates and times, colors, repeat setting and alert sound) are stored on your device. Android's own backup may include them in your device backup, under your Google account, as it does for most apps.
Your settings (for example "Screen stays visible") are stored on your device and may be included in that backup.
If you turn on sync, the app asks Google for permission to use a hidden folder in your own Google Drive that only this app can read. The app then copies your occasions there over an encrypted connection, so they appear on your other Android devices signed in to the same account. The app also reads your Google account's email address to show which account it syncs with; that address stays on your device. We never see your occasions or your email address.
You can turn sync off at any time. To remove the copy in Drive: Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → It's Almost Time → Delete hidden app data. You can also remove the app's access to your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/connections.
Google's handling of your Google account and Drive is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
It's Almost Time's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The app uses its Google Drive access only to keep your occasions in step across your devices. Nothing it receives from Google is used for advertising, sold, or shared with anyone.
If you use Import From Calendar, the app asks for permission to read your calendar and shows events from the dates you choose. The events are read on your device only; an event becomes an occasion only when you tap it. Nothing from your calendar is sent anywhere.
When you share an occasion, the app builds a link that contains that occasion's details and hands it to the app you pick in Android's share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you share.
Alerts are scheduled and shown by your device. No data leaves your phone for them.
No ads. No analytics. No tracking. No advertising ID. No selling or sharing of data. No accounts with us.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
